Okay, so this is a Diva’s tumblr but this is just so STUPID that I had to reblog it and reply. As someone who teaches special education, to say that people with different abilities have nothing to live for is incredibly ignorant and infuriates me so much. People with physicial or intellectual disabilities have an equal quality of life to those that don’t face these challenges. These smiles that they have on their face have nothing to do with their different abilities, but everything to do with meeting someone they admire and enjoy watching every week. If I met one of my favorite celebrities, I would have the same exact look on my face and trust me, I - as well as those that wake up to bigger obstacles than I do - have tons to live for.
Although I guess I must take into consideration that this was likely written by a 14 year old.
